All-Wheel-Drive for trucks in 1:13 scale
This is my attempt to make the Actros an all-wheel-drive vehicle. The problem is, that there is no sensible solution to build a driven and steerable axle using the old big Technic wheels.
I have therefore taken four old wheels, drilled the core out and glued a Modelteam rim in. Using the special wheel attachment parts from the 8466 Offroader set it is now possible to build a driven steerable axle. Currently there are only two problems:
- The axle is 25 studs wide (23 or 24 would better fit the scale)
- I haven't found a solution how to integrate a rigid and compact steering rack.
This problem can be solved using a rigid axle (instead of an independent wheel suspension).
